The Toddler room consists of thirteen spaces and three Registered Early Childhood Educators. Children range in age between 15 months to 2 ½ years. The children are divided into three small groups of four or five with a primary caregiver so that we can aim to accommodate their individual needs. Smaller groups allow us to facilitate and encourage individual interactions, time to observe and record each child’s developmental skills and assist them in feeling comfortable in the environment.

Our program follows the Emergent Curriculum model, teachers follow the lead of the of the children encouraging them to inquire, explore and discover.  Children learn best through play and engage in activities that interest them. Our role is to choose activities that are meaningful to them. We listen and take ideas from the children and plan for further exploration. We organize the classroom materials daily to help children make thoughtful decisions and to provide experiences to expand their skills and development. Our daily routine allows the children to engage in a variety of activities such as, free play, special activities/events, and outdoor play.

We are excited to have you and your child join us in the Toddler community! We strive to maintain open communication with our parents and look forward to working with you so that we may provide the care and nurturing love your child deserves.
